Cheap shims split,

Every shim in the box is milled from kiln dried solid wood and cut to the same taper, so the piece you grab behaves like the last one.

  • Kiln dried, not green

    Moisture is driven out before milling, so shims resist warping, shrinking and splitting after they're set.

  • Consistent taper

    1/16" at the tip to 3/8" at the butt. Slide to the height you need instead of stacking and guessing.

  • Score and snap by hand

    Break clean at the reveal with a utility knife or a bend. No saw, no dust, no trip back to the truck.

Designed by an installer, not a catalog

TrueShims comes out of RS Cabinetry, a cabinet installation company working new construction homes in Cape Coral, Florida. After years of running out of shims halfway through a kitchen and fighting brittle 8" pieces that snapped in the wrong place, we specced the shim we actually wanted on the truck.
